Do Headboards Come with a Bed Frame?

With almost all bed frames you will have to buy the headboard separately

1. Death causes 28grams of loss, does this only occur in humans.?

That research is about a century old at this point, and has never been reproduced. It was performed on a fairly crude scale, with the patient, clothes, sheet, and bed frame included. All the while, doctors were surrounding the patient, checking vital signs. There were no proper controls, which we would demand from a modern experiment. You have to consider the amount by which the body "lightens" as well. Lets assume that the patient is 50kg (fairly old and frail), plus throw in another 15kg for the metal bed frame, sheets, and clothes. That's 65kg - or 65,000g. A loss of 28g would account for a little over 0.04%. That's *way* too tiny a difference to measure on a single scale. That's the thing - you need to use the proper tools for the job. High precision scales can only handle tiny weights. Larger scales can handle heavier weights, but at the cost of precision. Make it a 100 year old scale, and any hope of a precise measurement goes out the window. Like I said before, though, in all the times that they've tried to repeat the experiment, using proper controls and rigorous scientific method, it has failed. Science depends on getting reproducible results. If no one else can duplicate your work, it's not considered a valid finding.

2. Where can I find a cheap bed frame?

thrift store i got mine for $25

3. how to get off stickers on a steel bed frame?

W D 40 or Goo Gone... almost anything with an oil base or even a wood wax like pledge.. spray on, let it set for a bit and wipe off.... but honestly goo gone is the best... for tons of things... well worth the two dollars for the bottle.

4. Just bought my first bed frame and now my bed is sagging.... Help?

Does it have slats at several points across it or is it just a square frame. Box springs would be good too but would also need the slats. IF you do not want to get box springs you can lay a sheet of plywood on the slats to help support the mattress.

5. I just bought a new bed and the bed frame broke ... Why won't landlord fix it?

He's your landlord, not your maintenance man. Unless you are renting the bed from him, it's not his problem

6. Loft twin bunk bed frame, under it will fit a full bed frame?

I do not think so because of the measurements

7. what is the strongest metal a bed frame can be made of?

IRON. The ones like Grandma used to have. I love those old beds.

8. Where can I find a mattress that includes a bed frame for a reasonable price? Help!?

Brand new mattresses are sometimes sold at second hand stores like St Vincent de Paul stores or Goodwill

Why Are Window Air Conditioners so Loud?
Odds are that, if you own an air conditioner, you own a window unit. These are the most popular types - both in the US and globally - available today.Window air conditioner units are so popular because they are inexpensive (running anywhere from $150-$600) and take up no floor space in your home because they sit on your windowsill. They are also easy to install, unlike split air systems and central ac. Installing a window unit is an easy DIY job that can be tackled in an hour or so.Also, because they are installed in a semi-permanent fashion, you just set it and forget it. Unlike portable ac units, which are often wheeled around from room to room, a window unit is designed to stay put.In spite of all of these benefits, however, window units have one major drawback: the noise. These units are loud and different models can range from being moderately annoying to downright deafening. Why are window air conditioners so loud? Well, the reason is simple: because the entire air conditioner - the compressor, the condenser, and the fans - are all located in one single unit.By contrast, with a split ac and a central air conditioner, the compressor and condenser are installed outside of your home. That means that in those units the loudest parts aren't in your home. With a window unit, however, the noisiest parts of the unit are inside your home. This can be a minor annoyance. It may mean that you have to turn up the volume on the tv to hear it. But it can also mean sleepless nights if your window air conditioner in your bedroom is deafening. So what you should do?The best thing to do is to check out the sound levels on your window unit before you make your purchase. All air conditioners come with labels specifying the decibels generated by the unit. A high number means a loud machine. For example, a unit with a rating of 50 Decibels is 10 times louder than one rated 40 Decibels. The smartest thing to do is to go to a big box store like Target or Walmart and listen to an air conditioner before you buy it. Even if you are looking at a different brand, it is important to get a sense of how loud the Decibel ratings are for you. You can do this best by listening to different ac units running. If you already have a window air conditioning unit and you have noticed recently that it seems to be louder, there are few steps you should take.Check to see if the unit is vibrating on the windowsill. It may need to be re-tightened on its shelf. The side panels might also be loose. Inspect those to see if they need tightening. If the unit seems to be vibrating more than normal, consider sliding a piece of wood under the unit to secure it.
Built-ins Ideal for Small Spaces
Today's new condominiums and townhomes are designed on a smaller footprint that has changed the way our homes are furnished. At first, the options for decorating were decidedly modern. Small spaces were thought to be best suited to the sleek, clean lines of pale woods and steel-based sofas, transparent or translucent glass and plastic tables, white walls and bleached floors. The minimal approach allowed the space to breathe, but it was often cold, and for traditionalists, this simply wasn't home.I have designed a series of homes this past year that combine the best of both worlds. High ceilings, crown mouldings and deep baseboards share all the traditions of older homes captured in today's modern vision. The living room in this elegant townhouse combines lofty design with the finest materials. To achieve the right balance, every square foot is considered, every corner utilized. When you are looking for solutions to your small space furnishing challenge, here are some guidelines.Begin with built-ins. Take a look at the wall space and any nooks and crannies that are produced by a chimney flue, heating ducts or supporting beams. They may leave an awkward corner or dead space that you can fill nicely with built-in cabinetry. Here, the fireplace is flanked by custom cabinets that fit the existing wall space and provide a stylish area for storage and display. The window seat is a natural extension and practical use.Select furniture that fits. This isn't always easy to find but more and more designers are cognizant of the need for compact styles. And you can find what you are looking for in modern and traditional designs. Look for sofas and chairs that have no skirts or added frills. Open space below and around furniture always makes a room feel more airy. Some chairs and ottomans are also designed with built-in storage.Mirrors are a decorator's best friend. Properly placed, a mirror reflects light and pushes out the walls. In this living room, the mirror above the sofa sits opposite the high window and widens the room.Choose colours that suit the mood you want to achieve. Select your most expensive items first, the sofa and chairs, the floor and carpet and then wall colour. Paint is the easiest to change. The dark floor grounds the room, along with the wood furniture trim and tables. Pastel hues of the area carpet, creamy upholstery, white lamp shades and silky blue cushions provide large blocks of light, so I chose a muted grey blue for the walls. Please email your questions to house2home @debbietravis.com

7 Best Zero Gravity Massage Chair (Reviews & Buyer Guide)
This all in one full body massage chair with some impressive features and new technology is now available for you on Amazon. This chair adopts a variety of new features and is fully automatic, which means that you can use all of the features of the chair automatically by simply pressing buttons available. This chair is one of the most popular massaging chairs which gives a fresh head start towards starting a new day. Now let's have a look at some of its amazing features:Top 10 VR Glasses of 2020 | Video ReviewBriefly, we would like to address a significant change to one of the VR headset ecosystems that's occurred in the last few months. As of October of 2020, all Oculus products must be linked to a Facebook account. The claimed reason for this is to allow administrators to moderate online communities and keep them safe and friendly for all. Many technology, media, and social policy experts, however, have offered quite a bit of outcry over this policy. One claim is that the advanced development and high-powered hardware of the Oculus Rift S and Quest 2 are partially subsidized by the massive data-hoarding industry of which Facebook is a part. While that may or may not be the case, the worrisome part of the Facebook account requirement is that Facebook, its moderation, and potential account access issues are often handled by algorithms or automation. After just a few months of the account linking requirement, consumers have been locked out of their accounts, and therefore their expensive headsets, for little to no reason. Many analysts view this practice as unethical and anti-consumer, and for this reason, we've moved the Oculus products down quite a bit in our ranking. Also, for what it's worth, Facebook plans on discontinuing the Rift S in several months. The world of virtual reality is an exciting place right now. Constant innovations and competition are creating newer, better hardware, and the VR landscape is continually evolving to better accommodate users and their experiences. Some of the items on this list, such as the Oculus Go, HTC Vive Pro Eye System, and the HTC Vive Original are still available to purchase but have been discontinued by the manufacturer. They are still capable systems that fulfill certain user needs but will continue to be phased out and replaced by newer iterations such as the Oculus Quest 2 and HTC Vive Cosmos. The recent releases of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, will likely bring a new generation of console-specific VR devices that can better make use of the capabilities of the new systems. Pardon the pun here, but make sure to keep your eyes open on this growing and changing market. We will be sure to keep you updated as to our opinions on the best gear for your VR needs. For this update, we have replaced the Oculus Quest with its upgraded version, the Oculus Quest 2. The Oculus Quest 2 surpasses its predecessor's performance and improves on its features in almost every way. It has an increase in more pixels per eye, a lighter weight, and offers more storage capacity and RAM memory. One thing to be aware of, at the time of this writing, it does require that you have an active Facebook account that you will need to log into in order to operate it. We've also updated the listing for the Nintendo Labo Kit and the Sony PlayStation VR. The ranking order has been revised to reflect these changes, and we've added a new Special Honor that you might be interested in checking out. There's a lot going on with VR these days. While we would not say that smartphone VR is completely dead, it has fallen considerably by the wayside. Nonetheless, there are several worthwhile accessories that can turn your smartphone into a VR headset, and the Merge Goggles are among the best. There's also been an influx of standalone VR units recently. The Oculus Quest and Oculus Go are by far the two most important such developments; in fact, for a lot of users, the Quest is the easiest and most affordable choice, and it offers tons of fun for not just the owner, but also family and friends, due to its portability and user-friendly nature. If you are dedicated to PC gaming, there are a few different considerations, not least of which is that you will need relatively powerful hardware to drive a modern headset to its full potential. In that category, it's almost impossible to top the new HTC Vive Cosmos; rather than in-room sensors, it uses integrated cameras to provide premium motion tracking, and its display screens are about as good-looking as they come. With that said, the HTC Vive Original, the updated Oculus Rift S, and the ever-present Sony PlayStation VR also promise to provide many, many hours of interactive entertainment. There are two more important systems worth mention, as well. Windows Mixed Reality is an up-and-coming ecosystem, and the Samsung Odyssey is frequently lauded as the best of the bunch there. Unlike many others, it uses an active-matrix OLED screen, whose dark blacks and bright colors lead to an especially immersive experience. And then there's the HTC Vive Pro Eye System, which costs an arm and a leg, but includes everything needed to provide essentially the most advanced VR yet developed. It's not, however, marketed towards home consumers, and is mostly used by professionals who demand the highest performance and have massive expense accounts to justify the investment. Valve Index The Valve Corporation is a company that is widely known for its digital distribution service named "Steam". They are also the creators of several critically acclaimed computer games, such as the "Half-Life" series and its sequels. They've been in the business of providing video games and related software since the internet began to see widespread usage. Somewhat recently, the company has begun manufacturing and selling its own hardware devices, creating controllers designed to work with their online gaming platform. Their first attempt at a virtual reality headset is called the Valve Index. It has been highly praised as a device that brings together the very best of VR functionality and hardware capability. The Index is only available directly from Valve and is offered in several different configurations. It is sold as a complete kit, or you can purchase various combinations of controllers or elements if you already have other compatible components. Due to its popularity, there has been a waitlist for interested customers since its release. If it's within your budget range and you have the patience to wait a few weeks, the Index is one of the most powerful and capable VR systems manufactured today. valveindex.com The advent of newer technologies has allowed the creation of immersive, cost-effective systems, which are finally emerging into the consumer marketplace. The term virtual reality refers to the creation of an artificial environment which is presented to the user in a fully immersive manner. The key to believable virtual reality is to block out the sensory input from the real world and recreate as many of these sensory inputs through the virtual world. The more senses which can be introduced artificially, the easier it is for the user to become immersed in the virtual world. For example, a VR system that utilizes eye goggles and earphones, is more effective than one which only makes use of eye goggles. Adding another sensory element such as a wind gust from a fan or a slight misting when the user is experiencing a boat ride in the virtual world makes it even more immersive and believable. Some newer VR systems make use of special gloves and body suits which can apply pressure or vibrations at precise moments. If your virtual incarnation experiences an impact, you will feel a sudden startling vibration. In addition to helping provide a multi-sensory experience, these gloves and body suits aid in tracking the user's movements and actions so they can be appropriately applied to the virtual world. The concept of virtual reality is simple, but the execution has proved considerably more difficult. VR systems have been in the works since the early 1980s, but have failed to capture the user in a truly immersive experience, or proved too costly for the home user. The advent of newer technologies has allowed the creation of immersive, cost-effective systems, which are finally emerging into the consumer marketplace. While the use of home virtual reality systems is a relatively recent development, the concept of virtual reality dates all the way back to a 1935 short story named "Pygmalion's Spectacles" by Stanley G. Weinbaum. In it, the author describes a VR system that makes use of goggles and a holographic recording system. The first immersive, multi-sensory VR system was created in the 1960s by Morton Hellig. It was called the Sensorama and made use of a wraparound screen viewed through a binocular-like device to display a stereoscopic 3-D image. It also had a moving seat and vents to direct short bursts of air at the viewer as they watched films. This led to a surge in companies working on the development of the technology. From the 1960s to the 1990s, there were a few other notable VR systems that are worth mentioning. In 1968, Ivan Sutherland and Bob Sproull invented the first head-mounted VR system. It was so heavy that it actually had to be suspended from the ceiling and the primitive graphics were simple wire-frame models. In 1978, MIT students developed the Aspen Movie Map. It was a virtual simulation of Aspen, Colorado that allowed the user to walk the streets. The user could choose from a summer or winter scene, which were both based on actual photographs or a polygon mode, which was a basic 3-D model of the city. In the 1980s, Atari toyed with virtual reality and opened a dedicated lab focused on experimenting with the concept. Unfortunately, it closed just two years later during the video game crash of 1983. Virtual reality experienced renewed public interest in the 1990s from movies like Johnny Mnemonic, Virtuosity, and the Lawnmower man. This led to a surge in companies working on the development of the technology. Sega, Apple, and Nintendo all jumped on the bandwagon alongside many lesser known names like Electronic Visualization Laboratory and Forte Technologies. All of the devices released were relatively expensive and none had staying power as they all disappeared from the marketplace quickly. In the last few years, new technology has made home VR systems affordable and increasingly realistic with devices like the Oculus Rift and Sony's Project Morpheus. The two most basic components needed for a VR system to function are a display and some kind of input. In budget virtual reality glasses, the display is often your smartphone, while the higher end models have integrated display screens inside of the head-mounted unit. The inputs can range from head and eye tracking devices to hand controllers. This brings items that you are looking directly at into pinpoint focus, while peripheral objects will be slightly out of focus, just like real life. If using a model with integrated display screens, the video is sent to the device via an HDMI cable. The better systems use two display screens and two feeds. They will also have a lens placed between your eyes and the screen that is designed to slightly angle and reshape the 2D images, recreating the natural variations in how your two eyes see the world. For virtual reality glasses to be truly effective, they must track your movements in some way. They can utilize eye tracking, head tracking, or motion tracking. The most basic systems will utilize one tracking method, while the more expensive models will track all three. Head tracking allows VR glasses to display an image that moves as you tilt your head. This plots the pitch, yaw, and roll of your head on the X, Y and Z axes using the six degrees of freedom system. Motion tracking allows the movements of your body and hands or a controller to be recorded so your virtual incarnation can perform similar actions. Eye tracking makes depth of field more realistic. This brings items that you are looking directly at into pinpoint focus, while peripheral objects will be slightly out of focus, just like real life. In Search of the Perfect Bottom
My backside has been a source of distress to me for my whole post-adolescent life.I've put a lot of effort into rectifying its disproportionately large size and as a competitive City girl have battled with a string of unbearable diets.Over the past six years I've attempted Atkins, low GI, low calorie (well, starvation really), the cabbage soup diet and even Beyoncé's maple syrup concoction.I've tried personal trainers, yoga, Pilates, power plates and Brazilian boot camps, yet I still look dreadful in jeans. So when I recently heard whispers around the City about a new form of "lunchtime lipo", my ears pricked up.Rumour had it that the newest form of fat removal caused only minimal bruising and downtime - so virtually no time off work - and was taking London by storm. After five minutes on Google I'd located Dr Ayoubi, the man credited with introducing the treatment to the UK, and had booked myself a consultation session at the London Medical and Aesthetic Clinic in Harley Street.Dr Ayoubi, a charming and softly spoken Syrian, first explained the philosophy of his clinic, which is that any surgery is aimed at "enhancing" rather than "altering" looks. I had been hoping for more shrinkage than "enhancement".The treatment can be applied to any part of the body though the most popular areas are post-natal tummies, saddlebags, double chins and bingo wings. Not surprisingly, 80 per cent of Dr Ayoubi's clients are women but he noted, "We do get men. Most of them are looking to remove 'man breasts'." I don't blame them. The treatment is not a cure for obesity. It's designed for patients with areas of "stubborn fat".After granting that the fat around my rear was suitably stubborn, I contemplated an appointment the following week, which would make me "bikini-ready" three weeks after that. With a holiday to Europe looming and a beach full of sun-kissed supermodels on my mind, I handed over my credit card.On my way to the treatment, my optimism faded and I was instead questioning my own sanity. Fortunately my fears were allayed on arrival at the fantastically chic Hurlingham Clinic (and spa, incidentally) in Parsons Green. The atmosphere was calming - it felt like I was just swinging by for a facial - and the staff couldn't have been more friendly. As the appointment loomed, however, the luxurious surroundings weren't enough to appease my fears - in my nervous state I embarrassingly put on my surgical gown backwards and forgot my operating knickers.A couple of Valiums later, and with two motherly nurses holding each hand, I found myself on the operating table. After the application of local anaesthetic, it was time for the laser treatment, an odd sensation to say the least.Having made a very small incision, the surgeon inserted a two-milimetre-wide laser under the skin, and melted the fat cells that had been causing me so much distress.Ice packs were applied after each zap to ensure that the skin wasn't burnt. The first version of SmartLipo would leave it at that, but this new generation treatment (SmartLipo MPX) uses a little suction to remove some of the fat there and then, so that a partial result may be seen immediately and the end result is more effective."I have found that patients are anything but patient," Dr Ayoubi joked. I knew that my surgeon and I were on the same wavelength. When I gently sat up, trying not to look too carefully at my mangled body, I noticed the sponge-like texture of my thighs before I was quickly manoeuvered into the garment I was to wear for the next 10 days. These were like a slightly tighter, nude pair of Bridget Jones style "magic knickers", with a strategically placed hole.Although the bruising is dramatic, the procedure and recovery period has been uncomfortable rather than painful. What's more concerning is that two weeks later my backside is still more Kerry Katona than the Carla Bruni bottom I had envisaged.Reassuringly, Gillie Turner, the helpful managing director of the Hurlingham Clinic, reminded me that "the treatment was not a miracle cure, that I should continue to eat sensibly and take exercise and that the full effects would become apparent in "about three months' time".Providing my thighs no longer "kiss" and I'm happily wearing my skinny jeans by October, that's enough of a miracle for me.London Medical & Aesthetic Clinic 020 8342 1100, www.lmaclinic.com/ Prices start from £2,200.Lunchtime lip job: Dr Rita Rakus offers the Stylane Lipp procedure, injecting juverderm ultra into the lips to plump them up. Air Conditioning Not Turning On?
I do not know what I am talking about, but it sounds like you blew the compressor. It's almost like having to replace the unit. You wo not make that mistake again, will you?.1. The air conditioning in my car is cold (new compressor) but it just won't blow?If no air is coming from the vents on your car, it may be the blower. It is usually located down the dash board in front of the passenger seat. If you know your model car and year you can go to a car part store and ask for this part and they will show you were exactly it is located in you specific car/year/model. It is really easy to take out. Just unmount the cover under the dash board, unscrew the fan/blower, unplug it and Mount the new one. it is important that you turn of the air conditioner first. You can buy a book on how to repair your car in any mayor auto-part store for your car/model. Or search the web in the image section on the web search engines and type "car air conditioning blower mounting". Remember to check first, before you buy the blower/fan for the air conditioner to test if there is electricity going to it. Use a voltage tester to do this2. problem with heating and air conditioning Prius 2009?I attended grammar college in a public college that became into built interior the 1850s. We had warmth. aircon became into presented via a protracted pole with a hook on the tip, it became into used to open the homestead windows, in effective condition right into a recess interior the top of the window so the window would desire to be pulled down. warmth got here first3. What are some ways to cool your home other than air conditioning?buy fans to set in windows ,blowing in, in mornings and nights, blowing out, in afternoons ,buy a free standing swamp fan that uses water you fill with a bucket. Or open windows in morning, shut in afternoons, open in evening. you can put window tinted material on windows also.4. Engine runs rough when I turn on defrost or air conditioning? The problem is there all the time, it's just more noticable when you turn on the defrost. All vehicles with AC use some type of stepper system to raise rpm's about 100 to compensate for the added load of the AC. The AC is tied into the defrost through the evaporator which is located in the heater control box and allows moisture to be removed from the passenger compartment. Do not worry about the serpentine belt or the AC compressor, if they were bad you would hear it. Now to explain the actual problem. I mentioned the stepper, which in your vehicle is controlled by the engine computer. It adjusts fuel injector pulse and ignition timing to raise the engines rpm's. As the rpm's are coming up the fuel system is dumping more fuel into the cylinders, but the idle air system is restricted causing the engine to load up on fuel and stumble or vibrate. The cause for this is a dirty throttle air bypass valve TABV and also called an idle air control valve/IAC. Carbon built up inside this valve restricts the air flow coming into the engine. An engine requires a specific air/fuel ratio and most mechanics over look the air part of the equation. This part is a computerized choke that can be removed, cleaned with a throttle-body cleaner that is O2 sensor safe (about 10 bucks), and reinstalled with a new base gasket (about 3 bucks). It takes about an hour to do. It is located on the intake manifold, is about 3 inches in length, about an inch in diameter, is made of metal and plastic, has a plug-in on the plastic end, and has two 10mm bolts that attach it the intake. It is also a good idea to spray out the throttle air inlet port and the throttle plate. You can check to see how dirty it is, by removing the air inlet hose off the throttle-body, open the throttle plate, and look in the port. You will see a black charcoal colored (carbon) coating on the inside of the TB, the more that is visible the worse the problem is. I know this will correct the problem with your vehicle. Take care and good luck. Christopher
This is a review for a Powder Coating business in Ventura County, CA: "I found B & R online on Yelp. There was another powder coating company in the same area but I only got a voice message when I called. I left my number but never heard back. So, their loss and B & R's gain. I called B & R and Ryan gave me a very reasonable quote to have the wheels for my TR6 powder coated. A couple of days afterwards I drove over to Ventura to bring them my wheels. I had a sample of the color I wanted and Ryan said they probably have a similar color in stock. He gave me an estimated time of 10 days. To my surprise it only took a week. I picked up the wheels and was very satisfied. The wheels looked great and the color was very close to what I was looking for. I will be bringing them some more wheels for my other old car."
