Patagonia Camping with an Eco Edge (PHOTOS)

The 60 mph gusts sweep through Patagonia's Torres Del Paine National Park, finding me at 2000 feet. I'm only about five miles up the Mirador Las Torres trail, yet it feels like I'm approaching the base camp of a Himalayan giant.

While the majority of glaciers receded with the last ice age, the remnants are awe-inspiring; both in the ones left, and the landscape the past ones created. In keeping with my environmental homage, I not only seek to gaze and feel grateful for Patagonia, but also to minimize the footprint of my stay.

While I (purposefully) left the sleeping bag and tent behind, I still was searching for the experience of sleeping under the stars, but frankly wanted a little luxury to soothe my western-world-wounds. I went glamping.

The juxtaposition between natural living and luxury is no better found than at

EcoCamp

, Patagonia's premier eco hotel. Many hotels and sustainable accommodations highlight their green credentials and EcoCamp has them all. The perfect start begins with the Geodesic Domes, alternative power mix (60% micro hydro turbine and 40% solar), and renewable building materials. As you walk out of the main dining Dome, a perfected raised wooden trail leads you to the dozen or so EcoDomes, spaced nicely apart -- allowing for the local flora and fauna to become intermingled naturally between Domes (further, Patagonia boasts 118 species of bird and 26 species of mammals). As you enter the Dome, you are immediately greeted by a homey feel, about 90% of the footprint is one room with a large king bed, fitted with plush lines made from natural fibers. The remaining space contains the biodegradable toilet, shower, and wood-built sink. The room is as nice in luxury as many other 4 Star hotel rooms in the U.S. (think Le Meridien or W), but lose the phone and TV and replace them with an unbelievable view of Torres del Paine.

While the accommodations are strong in comfort, I quickly forget the warmth as we make our final turn up the narrow ravine to the base of the three spires -- known as the "Towers Viewpoint" or "Mirador Las Torres." Breathtaking. But, as quickly as they are in sight, so rapidly they vanish, as a snow shower hits the valley. Patagonia experiences all four seasons on any given day at any time of the year.

Our lead EcoCamp guide (and Photographic guru), Rafa, adorns shorts and a light-weight top, clearly accustomed to this "summer" and immune to the freezing temperature and snow whipping at his legs. Half way up the final section, Rafa stops to help me take a photo of the fresh glacial melt snaking its way over rocks and shrubs forming a natural fountain. Hundreds of extraordinary scenes paint this region and I only attempt to capture a piece of the natural wonder.

After arriving back from the 15 mile trek, I'm joined by my fellow EcoCampers in the larger Dome for Pisco Sours and local meat and cheese plates, followed by a communal dinner. After a delicious three-course meal with vino galore and interesting conversations with visitors from across the globe, we all move to the Geodesic "Pub" Dome where the same guides on our hike present a thrilling photo montage on the region, backed by a master-level narration of the fauna and foliage. After the presentation, my trekking legs need to be put up for the night. I follow the short wooden path back to my personal Dome.

While the outside Patagonia summer nights are cold, my EcoSuite has been pre-heated by the cozy, wood-powered stove. The wind became apparent as it sped across the outside of the Dome -- not in a violent way, but in a comforting and cleansing way.

After that, it would to the octopus and squid room. Then, you would press a special button in there that says, "Secret." If you press it, you would go down, way farther down below the eel room, underground to the depth of the Mariana Trench. There would be two tanks with an unspeakable number of gallons, way morethan even part 4 of the shark room. It would contain two giants: the Giant Squid and the Colossal Squid. Is There a Modern Looking Bed Side Table with a Hidden Compartment Out There?
go to Osco and you will find it1. why beverage is always served on the right side of the table?Yes, what Wymugs said, EXACTLY2. What do you keep on your bed side table?a lamp, and the remote3. Since most people are right handed, why is the fork placed on the left-hand side of a table place setting?WHAT? I dont even get any fork. All i get is a pair of chosticks on my right and nothing on my left. This is discrimination.4. During the last supper of Jesus, why did everybody sit on only one side of the table? What are you talking about? The table that the Last Supper was eaten at was horseshoe-shaped, with everyone reclining on their sides.Jesus sat in the number 2 spot as the host; John the beloved disciple sat in the number 1 spot, and Judas sat in the number 3 spot (the spot usually reserved for the guest of honor). Peter sat in the 13 spot, the lowest one on the totem pole and usually reserved for servants.5. When eating out, does it bother you that theres nasty crap on the under side of the table?Yes. It speaks to the quality of the restaurant. A good quality restaurant will check that kind of thing, as well as have high enough prices to where people who have the habit of sticking their gum under the table will be weeded out. Plus, like someone else said, if there's stuff stuck under the table, you might accidentally touch it at some point throughout your meal. eww!6. why did all of the apossles sit on one side of the table at the last supper???maybe the other side was against the wall7. Waht to do about my wobbly side table?Your FLOOR is the problem. I an willing to BET that I can take ANY table and position it SOMEWHERE on your floor and it will wobble. I am also willing to bet, but not as much, that I can position the table you have somewhere on your floor and it wo not wobble. This is true for EVERY 4 legged table and EVERY floor. I would find rubber shims to place under one of the legs to stop the wobble8. Inserting a logo at the left side of the table without changing the width of rest of the rowsYou do not need to use multirow simply move the image before the table. You can use adjustbox to vertically centre the image.Do not specify both height and width to includegraphics unless you also use keepaspectratio or the image will be distorted.Size commands like tiny to not take an argument.cline numbers need to be in ascending order (but I just used hline here).9. In ping-pong, does the ball have to hit your side of the table before you can hit the ball back? You can hit the ball even before the ball touches your side of the table. This is often difficult to do though as it is harder to gauge the intensity of hitting the ball10. why did all of the apossles sit on one side of the table at the last supper???The artist painted the picture a few hundred years after the fact, and he obviously was not there, so he decided to try to put all the faces on the painting, and that's the only way he could figure to do it. In fact, at that time in Israel's history, they would not have even had chairs, they would have been laying around on pillows on the floor eating off of a low table. The painting also shows a lot of long hair, and Jewish men of that time did not wear their hair long. It's just an artists rendering of what he thought it might have been like11. Where to buy a bright red side table?I would look at Ikea. They always seem to have some outstanding furniture that is also affordable. Another idea is to buy a unfinished table and paint it the color you want.12. what's on your bed side table?lamp, a great book, a rotating fan, some pens, my journal13. How To Choose The Perfect Side Table - Frances HuntIt might seem silly, but if you do not take into consideration living room furniture arrangement before you go out and buy your side tables, you could end up with a living room that just feels a little unnatural, like something's not quite right. This kind of unexplainable discomfort in a living room is usually all down to furniture arrangement. There are typically only a handful of locations in the living room where a side table just looks right: One side table either side of a long sofa One side table separating two sofas perpendicular to each other One side table in the corner of the living room The purpose of having a side table is to provide an additional surface in your living room which, due to the smaller size of a side table, can easily be tucked away in awkward spaces or placed wherever you need an extra surface without taking up too much room. If the side table is to be used as an extra surface in addition to a coffee table, you need to be able to reach the side table easily from your seat. Side tables are great for the far corners of the living room where you can not easily reach the coffee table in the centre. The table should be the same height as the sofa's arm preferably, so that someone need only extend their arm to put down their drink. Any armchairs or accent chairs in the living room should have a side table beside it as somewhere to put drinks, glasses, books, etc. The side table is also used to create a sense of visual balance and harmony in the living room. In smaller living rooms, having a side table or two is a great space-saving alternative to a coffee table. But in bigger living rooms there is no reason why you cannot have both. Nothing's worse than being given a nice hot cup of coffee when you are visiting someone at their home, then finding yourself having to awkwardly hold the cup in your hand the entire time as you are not quite sure where to put it down. Do you just put it down on the floor next to your seat? Should you make an effort to get up and put it down on the coffee table or the bookcase? Should you ask them where to put it? By providing an obvious surface beside anywhere that a guest may be seated, you can eliminate any potential awkwardness and guests are able to put down and pick up items without giving it any thought. Not sure what to put on the side table so it does not look quite so bare when not in active use? You could perhaps have a book on your side table to give you something to easily pick up and flick through when you are sitting in the seat next to it. Or you can use something tall like a lamp or a vase of flowers to create a sense of height and give the side table a bit more presence in the room - this works great for side tables that are used as separators in between sofas and armchairs. Side tables come in a huge variety of different finishes and styles, from traditional to contemporary. It's important to match your side tables to the rest of your living room furniture, to continue the general theme.
History of the California King Bed
The California King Bed is a relatively modern addition to homes across the globe. Beds have been created and recreated ever since humans first needed a place to rest their heads. By the 1960s though, humans were no longer creating beds of leaves and twigs to place on the forest floor. They weren't stuffing mattresses with hay, either. Humans began to crave luxury, and by this time, the fortunate could afford it too. So how did we get here? How did beds go from dirt to huge, soft sleeping places? The Bed's Humble Roots The very first beds were little more than leaves, animal skins, and whatever else our primitive ancestors could find. Eventually, however, as human beings became less nomadic, beds developed into structures that kept people off the ground. The first "lavish" beds were the beds of Egyptian Royals. Long stone staircases lead to these beds, which were often shrouded by sheer curtains. These ancient beds even had pillows and possibly the first headboards. The Egyptians made the bed a place of luxury as did the Greeks. In Homer's famous epic, The Odyssey, Odysseus, a king, builds his wife a beautiful, jewel encrusted bed. Even in these ancient times, royalty slept in lush and ostentatious beds. The Kings and Queens of California Just like the towering beds of the ancient Egyptians, the California King Bed was designed for the elite. These "elites," were far different from the pharaohs, though. In the 1950s, the king sized bedstead was sold as the largest bed on the market. In the 1960s, this newly adapted California addition was born. Los Angeles furniture companies crafted these gigantic beds specifically for celebrities. These huge bunks, a full 4 inches longer than the king, were perfect for taking up space in the enormous mansions of famous celebrities. They acted as a status symbol of luxury.Everybody's a King Today you don't have to be rich and famous to have a bedstead fit for a king. In fact, since the 70s, these large beds have become a popular piece of furniture in homes across the globe. European variations, the Eastern king bedstead and the western king bed, even became popular during the 70s and 80s as private mattress companies transformed the mattress for international sale. If you need a little extra room for your feet, or if you simply want a bed fit for a king, the California king bed could be just what you need.
A Look at Japanese Platform Beds
Platform beds, in general, are great for their simple lines, Zen-like low profile, one-mattress compatibility, and wide availability of styles. You can buy a very boxy platform bed with no headboard or footboard, a more contemporary "bow" platform bed with modernist leg systems, a Japanese-style bed with slightly-curved lines reminiscent of the Han dynasty, and hundreds more. You can even get special "tatami mats" made of straw - a Japanese mat for keeping people and objects separated from the floor or, in this case, from the bed frame. An interesting note on tatami mats: the Japanese have certain rules regarding the laying out of tatami mats. For example, tatami mats must not be made in a crosshatching manner. Also, the mats, when more than one is laid on the floor, must flow in similar directions. Another rule is that no mats may be touching when on the floor. Tatami mats for beds are similar, in that, if you have a queen or king bed where two tatami mats are placed between frame and mattress, the two mats should not touch.Japanese platform beds are known for their gently swooping lines, reminiscent of the architectural phenomena of pagodas, or the curved armor applications in traditional Samurai warrior garb. The gentle curves, in tandem with the straight, Zen-like lines, are said to promote well-being, healing, and just general good fortune. You should expect to pay at least a few hundred dollars for any of the many available good Japanese platforms beds out there. Some will cost in the thousands or tens of thousands, depending on how meticulous the manufacturer or artisan is. Is it worth it? Millions of people worldwide seem to think so.
Would Not Using a Bed Frame Ruin My New Cal King Bed?
No other than personal needs. many use just a simple platform anyway.. we have a cal king and use a plain platform..then again at our ages height makes a difference for us to get up and down ...lol might want to check your warranty too.......1. Does an XL mattress require a special longer bed frame?Thirty years ago, I bought a head board and matching footboard as part of my cherry bedroom set. When I went to replace the mattress and box spring, they were both too long for the side rails that came with the bed. So, I had to remove the hardware from the side rails, cut new wood side rails and reattach the hardware so the mattress and box spring would fit the bed frame. It was annoying to have to do that, but at least I still have my whole cherry bedroom set in tact.2. Ikea Malm bed frame doesnt fit?California queen is bigger is that the issue?3. How can I prevent a wooden bed frame from creaking? If you can disassemble the frame, separate the siderails from the head and foot boards. Use a crayon or candle to wax the mating surfaces of the wood. This will help eliminate the squeeks. If the bolt has machine threads apply a small amount of thread lock (Loc-tite) which is available at the local hardware store. Get the smallest tube you can as you literally need four drops. One drop for each bolt. If the bolt has wood threads get some chair-lock. It is a glue designed for assembling chairs. Again apply a drop to each bolt. It also is available at the hardware store. While at the hardware store pick up the correct tool you need to tighten the bolt. Assemble the bed tightening the bolts until no movement is felt at the joints. If you can allow the bed to sit unused for an hour or so your adhesives can set4. Ikea bed frame and box spring problem?you could desire to attempt putting a skinny little bit of rubber or some style of cushioning between the bedhead and the area rails the place they connect. additionally if the mattress is not sitting sq. and right away it is going to squeak5. I just bought a new bed and the bed frame broke ... Why won't landlord fix it?Since that ol' nasty stuff is breaking down the furniture... Get some super duty cinder blocks to set it on. That will be a lot harder to crumble to the floor under severe conditions... Does this help any?6. For kids, create a space where there's room to growMy husband and I recently bought our 4-year-old son his first big-boy bed. Shortly after it arrived, he excitedly jumped up and down on the new mattress (he's 4; why not, I figured?) and reveled at his new Spider-Man sheets, bed frame, blue-and-white striped comforter, and shark throw pillow. "Mom," he told me in a serious tone when his test run was complete. "My new bed is awesome." I hope he always feels that way about something as simple as a bed, because when it comes to our homes, if there's one room that should feel awesome, it's your child's bedroom. Your child's room should be an expression of their personality and there are now easy ways to infuse whimsy and fun into the decor, whether it's unique storage, pillows, accents, wall decals or paint colors. If your child is old enough, blogger Will Taylor, the author of "Bright Bazaar: Embracing Color for Make-You-Smile Style," says decorating your child's room can be a team effort; it's a way to embrace "your inner child." "If you've always wanted to add a bit more whimsy to your home then a children's bedroom offers you the perfect opportunity," writes Taylor in "Bright Bazaar." Still, as with everything else in our homes, function is important. And if your child is in a small room or shares a bedroom, multifunctionality is especially important. Interior designer Kristin Ross, owner of Finish by Red Decor in Grosse Pointe, suggests buying timeless furniture that is multifunctional, durable and high quality for the larger pieces in a child's room, but says it's OK to get inexpensive bedding, window treatments, accent pillows from places such as Target, IKEA or Home Goods for the "of the moment" elements in a room. "Sink money into a beautiful vintage chest of drawers that will serve as a changing table and a spot for storage when designing for an infant," Ross says. "Eventually, expensive nursery furniture sets become obsolete ... What serves as a diaper changing station for a newborn in the first few years for a new family, has the potential to follow your child through life and into a home of their own some day, if you play it smart." Below are some other great ways to infuse fun and function into your child's space: Bold colors are not for everyone - some prefer neutrals and instead use accents to bring color into a space - but paint is one easy way to infuse fun or whimsy into your child's room. Blogger Taylor says when it comes to color, if you plan to combine two strong colors, it's important to introduce some patterned elements "to help temper the strength of the hues," he writes. "A graphic striped rug laid on the floor or a bold floral pattern in the curtain fabric can work well," he writes. At Homearama last year, designers from Gorman's Home Furnishings & Interior Design painted a boy's room in a bold tangerine color on one wall. Ross says she's a big fan of a neutral wall color in a child's room - though that does not necessarily mean shades of white, beige or gray, she says; she loves using a very pale pink or lavender as a neutral - and "they allow for weaving inexpensive trends of color and style that can be switched out as a child grows and finds their artistic voice." That said, paint is inexpensive, she says. "If your opinionated older child insists upon color on the walls - negotiate!" she says. "If your child is set on electric blue walls, suggest a more calming shade of blue with exciting blue accents. Take into account and explain that certain colors are better for easing into sleep." Yes, Pinterest inspires us all to tap our inner Martha Stewart (or Gwyneth Paltrow, or whatever lifestyle or crafting guru you prefer). If that's not an option for you, there's always etsy.com. If you have not bought anything from etsy before or even perused it, it's a website that sells handmade goods from artisans all over the world. It offers everything from handmade pillows for kids' rooms and duvet covers to banners, garland and wall decals - many of which can be personalized. LillsLoft - etsy.com/shop/LillsLoft - is based in Brighton and makes adorable personalized fabric banners spelling out your child's name. Owner Gillian McColgan also makes burlap banners and pennant banners; prices start at $15. They are perfect for draping across your baby's crib or hanging from a young child's room. They may be too babyish for an older child's room, but if your teen loves shabby chic whimsy, maybe it's not. Wall decals are another fun option. For my son's nursery, we found an adorable tree decal on etsy with two owls. We applied all three to the wall and the owls perched over his crib while he slept. Another great way to add some personal touches to your child's room is with art. Gallery walls are very big these days and what better way to show off your future Picasso's painting skills than with framed art? If you want to use all the same frames, Target offers a 10-piece Walnut Frame Set (Linear Wood; $26.99). If you do not want to use frames, create your own gallery wall. Elsie Larson and Emma Chapman, authors of "A Beautiful Mess: A happy handmade home," recommend creating a Kids' Art Gallery Wall using three wood boards (cut to the height of your ceiling), screws, wire, and wooden clothes pins. Attach the boards to the walls in vertical lines and measure wire to fit across your boards. Voila: you have gallery wall where you can hang (and easily change) your child's art. Larson and Chapman say do not be afraid to make your kids' room different than the rest of the house. "This space should foster kids' creativity and encourage them to play, explore and create," write Larson and Chapman in "A Beautiful Mess." But of course, function is important, too. That means space for doing homework (if you have it) and ample storage for toys, shoes, you name it. Taylor recommends baskets that fit under the bed. Label them so kids can easily pick up their toys and know what goes where, he suggests. And since kids tend to collect things, painting a contrasting color inside of a neutral toned bookcase or behind a shelving unit is a great way to add interest inexpensively, says Ross of Finish by Red Decor. It's all about a balance, she says. "Curate your space with a balanced mix of your aesthetic (borrowing from both tradition and trend), but encourage your child's self expression," Ross says. "A child that has input and some sense of ownership in their room's design will tend to respect the space more and likely take more pride in its maintenance." 4. Get to know etsy.com 6. Whodunit: Jack Batten
The BurglarBy Thomas PerryMysterious Press, 304 pages, $33.95 Elle Stowell is fit, cute, young, and a full-time Los Angeles sneak thief of meticulous habits. Late one night, she tiptoes into a Beverly Hills mansion where she finds, on a California king bed in the master bedroom, three dead people, one man and two women, all naked, all shot once each in the forehead. This is Thomas Perry's 26th crime novel and, like the others, this one is expert and never deviates from its principal point. In terms of characters, The Burglar presents a solitary but busy story, spent entirely in Elle's company as she: a) goes about her customary profession; and b) turns sleuth in order to solve the puzzle of the three murdered people before their deaths point either the cops or an unknown killer in Elle's direction. The Golden Tresses of the DeadBy Alan BradleyDoubleday, 330 pages, $29.95 The notion that Flavia de Luce has turned pro, forming a detective agency in partnership with Arthur Dogger, her late father's butler, might at first strike doubt into the hearts of Flavia's legions of fans.Flavia is, after all, a pre-teen, living somewhere in the English countryside sometime in the 1950s, and though we already know her from the nine previous books in the series as an unquestioned amateur whiz at chemistry and positively Sherlockian at breaking down clues, the imagined danger is that an adult partner might throttle her spontaneity. But, it's good to report, not so. The pair's sleuthing gets under way at Flavia's sister Ophelia's wedding when the happy couple, about to cut the cake, discover somebody's severed finger beneath the icing. What follows in this 10th book is plotting and characterization as charming, amusing and original as everything that has gone before. The Book ArtistBy Mark PryorSeventh Street, 272 pages, $15.95 In the course of the latest book featuring Hugo Marston, head of security at the American embassy in Paris, Marston confronts the statistical possibility raised by earlier books in the series that people who spend too much time in his close company can end up dead. Little does he realize that in The Book Artist , the title character is about to join the other victims on his personal list of the doomed. The artist in question is a young American sculptor, a woman whose work has just gone on display at the Dali Museum in Montmartre. Marston is growing more than friendly with the sculptor until, on the exhibition's opening night, someone murders her. Naturally, it's Marston, an always willing sleuth, who gets on the case.As ever, Marston comes across as a likeable character, and the plot is complicated to the right degree. But most winning of all, it's the casually charming presentation of Paris's many delights that most animates the book.RuptureBy Ragnar JonassonMinotaur Books, 272 pages, $37.99 In the Icelandic policing world of Ari Thor, it's not just the murders he needs to contend with. All the other burdens of life in the frigid and isolated world of the country's remote northern region can really get our guy down.In this latest Ari Thor book, he hacks away at an unsolved case from 60 years earlier. It seems that, among two sisters and their husbands, the last inhabitants of an abandoned community, one sister died of rat poisoning. While Ari Thor brings brilliant sleuthing to the ancient and mysterious murder, he also gets to the bottom of, among other threats: a strange illness that's confining everybody to their homes; a pair of his own dicey romances; and the prospect of his promotion to the job of top cop in Iceland's most challenging back-of-beyond region.Jack Batten's Whodunit column appears monthly.
The juxtaposition between natural living and luxury is no better found than at EcoCamp , Patagonia's premier eco hotel.

Design Scheme of Multi-channel Voltage Measurement Based on Stm32
Design Scheme of Multi-channel Voltage Measurement Based on Stm32
This design proposes a design scheme of multi-channel voltage measurement based on STM32 chip, and the measurement range is between 0-10V. The built-in A / D of STM32 samples the multi-channel voltage values to obtain the corresponding digital quantity. Then the corresponding analog voltage value is obtained according to the proportional relationship between digital quantity and analog quantity, which is displayed by TFTLCD display equipment, and the multi-channel collected data is stored in SD card.1. IntroductionIn recent years, data acquisition and its application have attracted more and more attention, and data acquisition system has developed rapidly. It can be widely used in various fields.Data acquisition technology is one of the important branches of information science. Data acquisition is also a process of obtaining object information from one or more signals. Data acquisition is an important link in industrial control systems. It is usually realized by some single chip microcomputer systems with relatively independent functions. As an indispensable part of the measurement and control system, the performance characteristics of data acquisition directly affect the whole system.Voltage measurement is the most universal. It is of great significance to study and design methods and instruments to improve voltage measurement accuracy. In the design of voltage measurement, single chip microcomputer as controller is the core of the whole design. In addition, there must be an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) in the design. ADC is used to directly collect analog voltage and convert analog signal into digital signal. It directly affects the accuracy and speed of data acquisition.2. System overviewThe microcontroller of this design adopts STM32 single chip microcomputer.STM32 Series MCU is designed based on the Cortex-M3 core of arm company. Its clock frequency reaches 72mhz. It is a high-performance product among similar products. It has the advantages of high performance, low cost and low power consumption. It is a good choice in embedded application design. The A / D converter in the design adopts STM32 built-in ADC. STM32 ADC is a 12 bit successive approximation analog-to-digital converter. It has up to 18 channels and can measure 16 external and 2 internal signal sources. The A / D conversion of each channel can be performed in single, continuous, scanning or intermittent mode. The conversion results can be stored in the 16 bit data register in left or right alignment. The maximum input clock can reach 14mhzThis design can measure the voltage value of 8 channels, the measurement range is 0-10V, and the display error is ± 0.001V. LCD displays the voltage value and waveform in real time, and microSD card synchronously stores the data. The system principle block diagram is shown in Figure 1.Design scheme of multi-channel voltage measurement based on stm323.3 LCD control circuitThe LCD used in this design is 2.4 inches, 320 & times; 240 resolution. The LCD module is controlled by the FSMC interface of STM32.FSMC (flexible static memory controller) can be changed into static storage controller. It is a unique storage control mechanism of STM32 series high storage density microcontroller with internal integration of flash of more than 256Kb and suffixes Xc, XD and Xe. By setting the special function register, FSMC can send corresponding data / address / control signal types according to different external memory types to match the speed of the signal, so that STM32 series microcontrollers can not only apply various external static memories of different types and speeds, Moreover, it can expand a variety of different types of static memory without adding external devices, so as to meet the comprehensive requirements of system design for storage capacity, product volume and cost.In STM32, one end of FSMC is connected to core Cortex-M3 through internal high-speed bus AHB, and the other end is an external bus for extended memory. After the access signal of the kernel to the external memory is sent to the AHB bus, it is converted into a signal conforming to the communication protocol of the external memory through the FSMC and sent to the corresponding pin of the external memory to realize the data interaction between the kernel and the external memory. FSMC acts as a bridge, which can not only convert the signal type, but also adjust the signal width and timing, so as to shield the differences of different storage types and make them no difference to the kernel.FSMC can connect devices such as nor / PSRAM / NAND / PC card, and has FSMC_ A [25:0] has 26 address buses and FSMC [15:0] has 16 data buses. In addition, the extended storage space of FSMC is divided into 8 blocks. Select the block of the operation through the address line. In this way, the LCD will operate as a memory with one address space.3.4 SD card drive circuitThe SD card used in this design is microSD, also known as TF card. MicroSD card is a very small flash memory card, which is mainly used in mobile phones. However, due to its small volume and the continuous improvement of storage capacity, it has been used in GPS devices, portable music players, digital cameras and some flash memory disks. The pin diagram of microSD card is shown in Figure 9.MicroSD card, like SD card, has SPI and SDIO operation buses. Compared with SDIO bus, SPI bus has simple interface, but its speed is slow. We use SDIO mode.MicroSD card has 4 data lines in SDIO mode.In fact, microSD has 1-wire mode and 4-wire mode in SDIO mode, that is, 1 or 4 data lines are used respectively. Of course, the speed of 4-wire mode is faster than that of 1-wire mode, but the operation is more complex. The 4-wire mode of SDIO is used in this design. The hardware connection diagram of microSD card is shown in Figure 3.STM32 MCU Chinese official websiteSTMicroelectronics / St / STM
