Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for Engagement Table Decorations Ideas
1. is it okay to just invite one side to engagement party?Although your lack of punctuation has me cross-eyed, I believe you'd be better not to exclude one family or the other from the engagement party, unless you want to start the family feud even before the nuptials------2. What all goes in to planning a wedding?Well planning a wedding is hard work especially if you want a big one. I think you need to hire a wedding planner to help you coordinate everything because the closer it gets to the wedding the more stressed out you're going to be. Weddings can range from $3,000-$10,000 depending on how lavish it is. It usually consists of candles, flowers, and whatever else decorative items you want to use------3. Only 3 Months left please help!?You don't say what exactly your budget is, so it's hard for anyone to help you.Best bet....yes, if it's Virginia, I would NOT plan anything outside for that time of year.Call the golf clubs. Usually places don't list their prices on their websites as their prices could change. See how much it would be.You need to secure a place to be married and have a reception NOW! That is prime Christmas/New Year's party time, so it may be a bit difficult to schedule something at this late date. What about a family member's home or a friend's home? 40-50 people really is not that many.OR....if you are members of a church, speak with your pastor. Many churches also have fellowship halls. Obviously, though, no alcohol is allowed at the church fellowship hall.OR...look at parks that have an enclosed building for rent. I live in a small town and even here we have something like that available next to a beautiful lake. Check that out. Those will probably not be booked at that time of the year. But...many parks may be closed for the season. I don't know anything about Virgina (I'm in Michigan), but here all the parks close down in the winter. An easy wedding to plan would be an afternoon wedding (2 p.m.) with cake, punch, coffee, fruit, cheese/crackers following. That is it! And...that is perfectly acceptable!------4. Does anyone have ideas?First, congrats on your engagement- what a wonderful journey!!Second, my first thought was a secret garden tea party theme. You could go many ways with that but going either whimsical or vintage would be my suggestion. My fave centerpiece idea for you is super easy, affordable, and charming- simply use antique china (from your china cabinet or even an antique or thrift store) and fill them with soft, romantic, vintage-esque flowers like pink roses and peonies. You can arrange them at different heights and combinations on each different table. You can even add something sweet into a few of them- gold wrapped chocolate candies are great throw backs.Or, if you want to go whimsical, try using oversized mugs (you can pick them up at the 99 cent store) and add a few found objects to the mix like candle holders, top hats, or sparkling accents from your local craft store. If you place different elements at different heights on the table it will add a bit of a fairytale feel. Also, along with pics and directions for these projects, we've got TONS more wedding ideas on our website !! I have a few questions about my bridal business. Please help be a part of my success by giving your opinion?sure you can purchase products off of ebay and resell or rent. But to be honest, your business plan seems weak. You say money is no object because you have "your job". But your job goes away if you are opening a fulltime bridal boutique that also offers wedding planning services (even if you don't have the planning services, your job goes away). The business seems termendously expensive to operate, just the different staff you are going to need is going to be costly - wedding gown expert, jeweler, inventory control/accountant, general staff, etc.I think you need to re-evaluate your business plan and remember it's a business, just not about the fun of planning a wedding.------15. Parents paying for sister's wedding but not mine?I agree with "An education". If it were me, I would call my parents on their ridiculous behaviour and they wouldn't be invited. My parents would NEVER treat any of their children like that - just because they're your parents doesn't mean you can't demand they treat with respect and kindness. This is an insult and it shows blatant favourtism.------22. Engagement party questions?
